Patron Code of Conduct
The Coppell Arts Center is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all patrons, artists, staff, clients, and volunteers. The following Code of Conduct has been established for all patrons and guests to ensure everyone who enters our venue enjoys their experience.
Respect for Others

The Coppell Arts Center Staff and Volunteers are dedicated to treating all patrons in a consistent professional behavior.

Patrons will treat all individuals with dignity and respect.

Harassment, discrimination, abusive language, or threatening behavior will not be tolerated.

Disruptive or intoxicated behavior that interferes with a performance or with the enjoyment of others may result in removal from the premises by Staff, Security, or Police.
Accessibility & Inclusion

Trained service animals (dogs or miniature horses) are welcomed at the Coppell Arts Center. Service animals must not disturb patrons by going off leash, barking, biting, or messing on the floor. The handler must always be in control of the service animal.

The Coppell Arts Center and City of Coppell allow emotional support dogs. The handler of an emotional support dog must fill out a form at any City facility, once, so Staff can keep record of the dog. Emotional support dogs must not disturb patrons by going off leash, barking, biting, or messing on the floor. The handler must always be in control of the emotional support dog.

Patrons will respect accessible seating and other reserved areas for patrons with disabilities.

Venue Etiquette

The Coppell Arts Center does not have a dress code. We encourage patrons to dress comfortably for the weather and performance they are attending.

Late seating is at the discretion of the House Staff or Production.

Patrons should silence their phone prior to entering the venues.

Photography is show-specific, and some productions may have a strict no photo or video policy. This information will be relayed by House Staff, Volunteers, and/or the Production prior to the performance.

Any beverages that go into the venues must have a lid to prevent spilling.

Patrons should remain courteous of those around them, refraining from loud conversations and encroaching on personal space, for example.

Blocking aisles is a fire hazard. Patrons must keep aisles clear at all times in case of an emergency evacuation.

Intentionally damaging Coppell Arts Center or City of Coppell property is prohibited.

Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside the Coppell Arts Center.

Children & Families

Children are welcomed to attend events at the Coppell Arts Center; however, we encourage the parent or guardian to consider how age-appropriate the show is before attending.

Patrons must supervise their children at all time and be mindful of the open gallery which can contain fragile art.

All patrons must have a ticket, including children. If you have a child under 2 years of age, please contact the Box Office for assistance – 972-304-7047
Safety & Security

Patrons will follow direction from Coppell Arts Center Staff, volunteers, Security personnel, or Police.

Illegal substances and dangerous items are strictly prohibited.

In case of an emergency, patrons should remain calm and will follow instruction from Staff and volunteers for evacuation procedures or sheltering in place.

It is encouraged for all patrons, clients, artists, and volunteers to be mindful of their two nearest exits. Evacuation procedures are located in performance space vestibules.
Ticketing & Entry

Only valid tickets purchased through the Coppell Arts Center’s ticketing provider, eTix, will be accepted.

All persons entering a ticketed performance must have their own ticket with an individualized barcode.

Tickets will be checked at the door of each venue by Staff or volunteer.
Consequences of Misconduct
The Coppell Arts Center staff may intervene when necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met. Patrons are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest Staff member or volunteer. Patrons who choose not to comply with the above Code of Conduct will be subject to verbal warning, removal from the venue without refund, and/or notification from Law Enforcement, if necessary.
