Week 2 - Oz Camp
Monday, June 10 - Friday, June 14

This summer, join Kate Shema from Createria Studios as she leads a whole summer's worth of awesome art adventures during the Coppell Arts Center Children's Summer Art Camps! Every week explodes with a new theme: rainforests, the Olympics, national parks, Hawaii, and famous artists. Get creative with cool materials - paint, clay, watercolors, and more. Let's get creative! 

Week 2: Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Art Camp! 

Calling all Emerald City dreamers! Join a weeklong art adventure inspired by the legendary Wizard of Oz. Each day brings a new twist on this classic movie.

Monday, June 10 - Emerald City Dreamscape 

• Channel your inner architect! Imagine and paint the magnificent Emerald City, complete with poppy fields, the yellow brick road, and the majestic Emerald Palace (acrylic on canvas).

Tuesday, June 11 - And Toto Too!

• Continue the adventure by painting a lovable watercolor portrait of Dorothy's best friend, Toto. Special techniques will be used to create his fluffy fur and bright eyes, all nestled comfortably in a basket ready to travel to Oz.

Wednesday, June 12 - Tin Man Transformation (Posable Paper Puppet)

• Craft a tin man who can move! Design, paint, and cut out your own posable tin man paper puppet. Don't forget the funnel hat, oil can, and most importantly, a heart.

Thursday, June 13 - Conquer Your Fears with a Cowardly Lion Plushie!

• Sew a cuddly felt lion plushie based on the Cowardly Lion. Decorate it with a yarn mane and a big red bowtie – because even the shyest lion deserves to look fierce! 

Friday, June 14 - I’m Melting!

• Create a fun sculpture of the Wicked Witch of the West melting away using Model Magic. 

Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (optional), comfortable clothes that can get messy, and a big imagination! Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up for this week of whirlwind fun today! 

Please purchase 1 ticket per child. Class tickets can be purchased individually by the day OR a full week can be purchased as a package. 

All class materials are included with the ticket purchase. Parents are welcome to drop off their child or stay during the class in the Arts Center in the Vari Studio Workspace. 

No experience is necessary. Classes are available to children ages 6 to 12.

* NOTE: A parent or guardian must be present to sign their child in and out for each class.
