The award-winning recipe for THE TEXAS GYPSIES’ sound is to perform the “Vintage Jazz-Swing" cool hep cat sounds of the ‘Great Gatsby’ era 1920's, mix in a bit of the Big Band Swing sound of the 1930's and 40’s, add a taste of its sister sound, Western Swing, sprinkle some Django style Gypsy Jazz over the top, and finally finish up with a pinch of Retro Deco Rock ‘n’ Roll! This eclectic band mixes passionate violin, a blazing horn section, rockin’-swingin’ guitars, slappin’ upright bass, and retro style drumming to harmoniously create their own unique, classy, and fun sound!

The Mr. Cooper Group Lobby Gallery opens 1 Hour prior to the performance starting and the Main Hall doors open 30 Minutes prior to the performance starting.

September’s volunteer of the month to round out our 2022-2023 season is a newer volunteer, Gina! A proud Texan, Gina relocated to Coppell in 1993. For the last 40 years, she’s enjoyed working at an electric utility company. After attending several shows at the Arts Center and recognizing friends who were volunteering their time with the Arts Center, Gina decided to join the volunteer team in February of 2023 and began volunteering at the Arts Center, regularly, in May. Her favorite part of volunteering is not only the other volunteers, but all the patrons she gets to welcome into the building during events. Volunteering at the Arts Center has provided Gina the opportunity of meeting so many different people and attending events she might not otherwise attend. In her free time, Gina likes spending her time outdoors, at the beach where she enjoys making sand art, and with her 2-year-old Dachshund, Louie. Thanks for volunteering your time with the Arts Center the past season, Gina!
