Join us for an exciting artistic adventure around the world this spring break! Over five fun-filled days, young artists ages 6-12 will travel to a new country and create
a unique masterpiece inspired by its culture. Our camp runs for 3 hours each day, with a short break in the middle for a snack (optional). All art supplies are
provided—just bring your imagination and get ready to have a great time!
Daily Adventures
- Monday, March 16: Japan—We'll start our journey in Japan, where we'll learn about traditional Japanese art while painting and constructing a colorful fish windsock.
- Tuesday, March 17: Mexico—Next, we'll head to Mexico to honor the renowned artist Frida Kahlo by constructing a mixed-media shadowbox inspired by her iconic style.
- Wednesday, March 18: Australia—On our third day, we'll visit Australia to explore Aboriginal dot painting. Campers will get to paint either a koala or kangaroo in this distinct style.
- Thursday, March 19: Egypt—Our adventure continues in ancient Egypt, where we'll use paper mache to create our very own canopic jars, complete with an Egyptian god head.
- Friday, March 20: Italy—We'll end the week in Italy, where we'll work together to construct and paint a magnificent cardboard Trojan horse, inspired by Greek mythology.
Come create, learn, and have an amazing week exploring art from different cultures!
Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and a healthy snack (optional), comfortable clothes that can get messy, and a big imagination! Classes are limited in size, so sign your child up soon and let the fun begin!
All class materials are included with the ticket purchase. Parents are welcome to drop off their child or stay during the class in the Arts Center in the Vari Studio Workspace.
Please purchase 1 ticket per child. No experience is necessary. Classes are available to children ages 6 to 12.
* NOTE: A parent or guardian must be present to sign their child in and out for each class.
